Welcome to part 5 of Brainmade holiday! Before we begin, I just wanted to say you can now visit this blog through the URL www.brainmade.co to make it easier! WoooOooOo.

Today I’m going to show you how to make a pair of earrings out of an old zipper. I’ve made these in the past, but it was time to write a quick tutorial for them. I really love these earrings. They are simple and easy to make. If you have any old clothes you are about to throw away with zippers, you can easily swipe one up to make this. I love the look of it because it looks clean and minimal and can be worn with a t-shirt and jeans or a LBD. I think they would make the perfect gift for any friend or family member. You can easily change the look by using a silver zipper or a plastic zipper, changing the length to create a daring look or even add any extra doo dads like feathers. Enough rambling, on to the project!

Hope you liked it!

Happy Friday! It is round 4 of Brainmade Holiday! A DIY notebook is always a great gift for anyone. You can even customize what type of paper you use for the person: Watercolor paper, grid paper, dot paper, etc. I really like this DIY because you can customize it to whomever you give it to. If you want, you could even design and print a special header for each page!

Side note: I used 10 pages of 8.5×11.

I keep using so much felt in my DIYs lately. Felt is nice because you don’t have to finish the seams, but you could of course try this out with any other material. I think a waxed canvas would look extremely nice or a thin soft leather. You can also change the color of the elastic or use elastic string instead. The possibilities are endless, which is what makes this item a great gift. You could really churn out a bunch of these, as this only took me about 1 hour to do (but I was also stopping to photograph it as well!)

I hope you enjoyed this notebook!

Welcome to part 3 of the Brainmade Holiday series! I was in need of a nice key holder so I could cover my keys and keep them safe from scratching my phone. I have seen these great key holders around but I thought it would be fun to add a familiar shape to it. At the end of the craft, I have attached more shape ideas to get you started! Also, be sure to check out the brainmade shop! Use code 25OFF for 25% off everything!!!

Remember that you don’t have to sew, you can also glue the pieces if you would like.

Here are more shape ideas to give you an idea of all the possibilities. (popsicle, succulent, bear, bunny). You can also change the material you are using to leather or vinyl. Happy crafting! Thanks everyone!

Hi guys! Happy wednesday! It is time for round 2 of the Brainmade Holiday series. In the spirit of minimalist wallets, I made a mountain card holder. We all have that certain someone that you can never figure out what to get them for the holidays, so we resort to the gift card. To jazz up the gift card and make it much more thoughtful, why not DIY a gift card holder. This could also be used as a wallet when not holding precious gift credit. Onward!
